The new Parker Arts, Culture and Events Center is scheduled to open in the fall of 2011. The center includes a 500-seat theatre, an event room, classrooms, plus an art gallery. The town of Parker also offers numerous cultural events throughout the year, including a Children’s Theatre.

Parker just feels like home, and there’s always something going on, such as the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting event, the Christmas Carriage Parade, and the Winter Wonderland Skate Night and Festival during the holiday season. The city also hosts Halloween events and summer festivals with a variety of dining and entertainment venues. Located just 20 miles southeast of Denver, Parker was founded in 1864 years after many of our nation’s most famous frontiersmen explored the area decades earlier. Today, Parker is a progressive, well-planned community with a solid business base, exceptional community services, and excellent schools from the Douglas County School District.
