These happenings around town are sure to kick this beautiful season off with a bang. If you are looking to have some fun around Colorado this month, be sure to check out some of these awesome events.

Arvada Kite Festival

When: April 3rd, 10am – 3pm
Where: Stenger Sports Complex
Cost: Free

A high-flying fun event to welcome spring! You can bring your own kite or purchase one at the event. There will be professional kite flyers, a jumping castle, face painters, balloon artists, hamster balls, and more fun for kids of all ages. Enjoy good music, delicious food and vendors offering plenty of goods and services.

Tulip & Fairy Festival

When: April 3rd, 1pm – 5pm
Where: Pearl Street Mall, Boulder
Cost: Free

In Downtown Boulder, Spring officially arrives when the Tulip Fairy and her pint size helpers welcome the Tulips that adorn the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder This beloved spring time tradition features performances, a bubble party, nature activities, face painting and more!

Whiskey, Wine & Moonshine Tasting

When: April 9th, 6:30pm – 9pm
Where: LoDo – Several Locations
Cost: $25 – $50

Tantalize your taste-buds and introduce yourself to over 30 different types of wine, whisky and moonshine! Enjoy trying new brands, listening to music and entertainment a tasting glad and a $5 promo card. Then cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award for the top three spirits and wines.

Civic Center Nosh & Posh

When: April 14th, 11:30am – 1:30pm
Where: Civic Center Park
Cost: Free, Bring Money for Vendors

Don’t wait until May to get your Food Truck fix! Civic Center Nosh & Posh brings several of your favorite Civic Center EATS food trucks together with a few local fashion trucks for a fun and unique way to spend your lunch hour. Shop boutiques, find local gems and grab a delicious bite to eat.

Denver Bacon & Beer Classic

When: April 16th, 1pm – 4pm & 7pm – 10pm
Where: Sport Authority Field at Mile High
Cost: $59 – $99

The Bacon and Beer Classic is one of the fastest growing food and beverage festivals hosted in iconic sports stadiums across the country. This all-inclusive event features 50+ bacon dishes from local restaurants, 100+ craft beers from local and regional breweries, games, music, and more!

Doors Open Denver

When: April 23rd & 24th
Where: City of Denver
Cost: Free

Explore Denver, inside and out during this celebration of Denver ‘s built environment and design. The two-day event allows residents to explore the buildings they see every day but may have never had the opportunity to enter. It also helps to build a sense of community by opening the doors of Denver to everyone!

Govnr’s Park Tavern 7th annual Beer Festival

When: April 17th, 1pm – 4pm
Where: 672 Logan Street
Cost: $20

100 different beer samples will be served up at the Govnr’s Park Tavern 7th Annual Beer Festival! You can vote for your favorite beer and the winner will be on tap all year long. Enjoy raffles and giveaways from all your favorite breweries. The funds raised from this event will go back to the neighborhood through C.H.U.N. (Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods).

Taste of Pearl

When: April 17th, 2pm – 6pm
Where: Pearl Street Mall
Cost: $65 General Admission Tickets

Enjoy an unforgettable afternoon exploring Boulder’s culinary art scene which showcases some of most renowned restaurants and chefs. Celebrate Colorado’s distinctive wines while strolling through some of Boulder’s most vibrant galleries and boutiques.

Rocky Mountain Brew Run Runs at Oskar Blues Brewing

When: April 30th, Starting at 10am
Where: Oskar Blues Brewing
Cost: $25

Rocky Mountain Brew Runs brings together what runners and athletes of all shapes, sizes, ages and levels love: beer and running. This series of social fun runs from 7 of Colorado’s best craft breweries and includes free brews, swag and after party with food truck and beer Olympics!

Urban Wine and Chocolate Run

When: April 29th – April 30th
Where: Dicks Sports Goods Park
Cost: $60 – $85

The Urban Wine and Chocolate Run starts with a pre-race party on Friday evening and will be packed with surprises like wine, chocolate, food trucks and a live band. Saturday enjoy a beautiful run through the stadium and surrounding area.  There will be a wine and chocolate for you once you cross the finish line.
