Pubs

Nallen’s Irish Pub
1429 Market Street

Why not celebrate St. Patty’s Day at Denver’s oldest Irish pub, where they know how to celebrate low key. Relax in the outdoor tent and enjoy Irish dancers and bagpipers throughout the day, and grab a catered corned beef sandwich. The beer may not be green at Nallen’s, but they offer all the most classic Irish brews, including $5.50 Guinness.

The Celtic Tavern
1801 Blake Street

In the heart of downtown and the center of it all, The Celtic Tavern sits right along the parade route making it a prime location to watch the parade while enjoying the classic Irish featured menu and sipping on a green beer. The bar will open early and throughout the day there will be appearances by Irish bands, pipers and Celtic dancers.

The Abbey Tavern
5151 East Colfax

Unlike some of the other Irish bars in Denver, this one is actually owned by an Irishmen. Many St. Patrick’s Day celebrations here in the United States lose their authenticity. But The Abbey Tavern brings back the cozy authentic flair for those who are wanting to enjoy a more traditional holiday. The weekend brings the larger celebrations, with a neighborly mini-festival and block party featuring Celtic bands, dancers and bagpipers, face painting and a bouncy castle.

The Irish Rover
54 South Broadway

With rooftop views of South Broadway and the distant downtown Denver, you can enjoy the spring weather while tipping back a classic Irish red ale. The Irish Rover offers the choice of three bars, all of which will be open for St. Patty’s, along with bagpipers making appearances throughout the day. Move between the rooftop bar and back patio, or head inside for the traditional Irish pub comforts.
