I grew up in Denver. But I’ve live in Fort Collins now and have been here since 91’ (grateful to be a front range native!)
Hard to pick one, but I would have to say appreciating/taking in the buffalo on the other side of County Line Road.
A locally owned Mailboxes Plus store near Toddy’s market off Orchard, worked there for 2 years after school and in the summer.
Music – singing & guitar, gardening, I’m an outdoor enthusiast, and I love to travel. Singing is definitely #1. I have been in many bands over the years, performing along the Front Range.
Reflective/Insightful, Grateful, Driven, Artistic, and Caring.
I love Halloween, allowing one’s imagination to dive into the depths of creativity! One year, I was an Aqua Nymph – made my costume from an old scuba suit.
So many of them, I love a good hike!
Local coffee shops – and really any place with good live music!
I enjoy cold consumme’.
Over the years, my husband Dylan and I have done a lot of work for the Larimer Humane Society. And I have worked closely with the Gardens on Spring Creek – I’m so grateful they have “The Great Lawn” going, it will be a wonderful music venue! And they are putting in a new butterfly pavilion. I also regularly contribute to The Gabriel Center and Adoption Dreams Come True.
Hands down my children, Olivia and Ellis, every day.
Being a mother, I was mother later in life and so grateful every day for the experience of motherhood. My first pregnancy and labor was a tough one and infused more rich grace of appreciation.
Combination of heart, mind, and body – happiness within, can be on so many levels.
Professional singer, psychologist or botanist.
A pianist – to play with my daughter and perform.
Hiked out of the Grand Canyon twice, from bottom to top with heavy packs. And my engagement – we hiked out of James Peak and down St. Mary Glacier in a thick blizzard.
My Grandmother, to introduce her to my children and celebrate life.
Growing up, my favorite family tradition was looking at all the holiday lights of Denver around the city, in the car with my brother. Currently, it would be carving pumpkins with my husband Dylan, he takes this very seriously. We also went on a moonlight/full moon hike through Garden of the Gods with my husband’s family the last time we were there. I hope that it can start as a new tradition!
Hard to say one!!! Tracy Chapman with my Father at Magness Arena (DU) many years ago, The Roots & Erykah Badu at The Fillmore, Adele at the Ogden & the Pepsi Center, Roberta Flack in LoDo in the 90’s, Martin Sexton at The Lyons Rocky Mountain Folks Festival by the St. Vrain River, and Sting at Red Rocks, could go on. All of these artists are so wonderfully talented and unique they are timeless and inspirational.
The Voice – would like to try out someday.
