Here at Kentwood, we like to think of ourselves as one big family. We golf together, give back to our communities together, and celebrate birthdays together. Within our Kentwood family, exist mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, and sons and daughters who are so passionate about real estate, they have chosen to make it a family business! And we couldn’t be happier that they have chosen to make Kentwood part of that legacy. Let us help you get to know all about the many families of Kentwood.
Helm Weaver Helm is comprised of Patti Helm, Pam Helm, and Libby Weaver. Patti and Pam are sisters-in-law. Their husbands, brothers Corey and Blake, are in the orthopedic device industry. They have worked with Libby Weaver’s husband, Dr. John Papilion (an orthopedic surgeon) for more than 25 years. We all consider ourselves to be family. In fact, all three of our husbands are looking forward to spending more time on the golf course as Helm Weaver Helm continues to shake up the real estate market!
For the Cryers (Dee and Tom), it’s all about family. From the earliest days on the slopes right up until today, one of the greatest thrills for us as parents are those runs when all of us can “schussbaum” Riva Ridge together.
Fast forward to 2018, it’s been an eventful 18 months. Two weddings, two grand puppies, one new grandchild and one on the way, we’re exploding in numbers from 5 to 9 overnight! A really fun event for us is sneaking off on a walk with one of the “crazy dogs” or running up to Vail to visit “Cordie Lou”. Soon we will have little Colette right here in Denver!
Approaching 20 years with Kentwood, Dee and Tom have worked with many families from first time purchases to moving up, to the “dream home”, and even that eventual move down or “last move”. One thing never left their focus – every family has its own individual needs, wants, and budget. Colorado is a fabulous place to live. It’s the last place a family wants to “house poor”. The Cryers are completely focused on being there every step of the way.
Phelps Blair and Annzo Phelps joined forces in the real estate business six months ago. It has been great for both and a wonderful collaboration. We are now “A generation for every buyer and seller.” Annzo has loved and thrived in the business for over 34 years, Phelps is hitting his stride in the business and is enjoying the collaboration with his mother.
As 2nd and 3rd generation Colorado natives, Ron and Allison are a father-daughter duo who are part of The Move Group at Kentwood City Properties.
Allison was raised in a real estate family, often attending open houses and showings as well as nights spent searching the MLS books! Then, after receiving her real estate license in 2001, Allison joined her father’s team at Coldwell Banker. She eventually came to Kentwood seven years later, in 2008, and her father followed suite in 2018. They now have a combined 55+ years real estate experience.
Off the clock, Ron and Allison enjoy family time with the grandkids/kids, share an interest in property investments, and bounce many ideas off each other.
Ron and Allison are joined by Greg Yoshida and Zach Gilbert to complete The Move Group. Though not family by blood, Greg and Zach complete the family feel of the team.
Paula and her husband met when they were both brokers in Los Angeles. Two daughters, their oldest son, and a son-in-law followed successfully on this path. Their son, Matt, grew up in Colorado with the real estate gene flowing through his veins, so it was no surprise when he joined Paula at Kentwood and like the proverbial “ducks to water,” quickly absorbed the concepts and nuances of the industry. Paula is the old pro with a world of experience and Matt’s the wunderkind that embraces innovation. Something clicked, as they individually and as a team, are experiencing the best year of their careers.
Roy Lopez, Jonathan and Jeff are truly a real estate family. The father and sons group bring together over 45 years of combined real estate experience. Together they apply their experience and ‘client-first’ approach to navigate a successful transaction. Their passion comes from their shared vision of providing unparalleled service for their clients.
They formed the Glery Ross Group, whose mission is to conduct ‘Real Estate with a Purpose’. The Glery Ross Group is driven by high integrity, focused on always maintaining a ‘client-first’ approach in the quest to achieve their clients’ goals. They never lose sight of the personal nature of each transaction and the importance of a client for life.
Roy started with Moore and Company in 1980. He joined Kentwood in 2007, 3 months before Bill Moore and Peter Niederman purchased Kentwood. It was full circle having Bill and Peter back as owners, and it created the perfect platform to invite his sons to join Kentwood.
They started the Glery Ross Group at Kentwood, which represents the family crest of the Lopez family. Its original incarnation was a high-end fashion design couture store in Cuba during the 1950’s. The name was synonymous with high quality merchandise, sold by a successful and caring business family. The owners and operator of Glery Ross were Miguel Lopez and Glaucia Lopez, the mother and father of Roy and grandparents of Jon and Jeff. The name was derived by combing three family names: Glaucia (mother-owner and former professional model), Areli (aunt), and Rosa (aunt in-law). During the Holidays, they gave away toys to the needy from their high-end Glery Ross store in Havana, Cuba. Their giving back continued even after escaping Havana, Cuba.
These Denver natives have real estate in their blood. With a father who was a top commercial broker in Colorado, Sallie’s 10 years’ experience as a corporate and real estate attorney, and Julie’s connections to people, a career in real estate seemed inevitable. The sister team started in 1997 and continues today delivering twice the experience, twice the expertise, and twice the customer service to each and every one of their treasured clients.
We began selling real estate as a team in 2015 and made the decision to join Kentwood City Properties in December 2017. As Dutzer & Co we have a great working partnership which is supported by the belief that regardless of price point, every client deserves to have a luxury experience.
When not at work we enjoy cycling outdoors on the fantastic bike routes in Colorado. Our business and personal relationships have expanded in part because of our involvement with great organizations such as the Asian Chamber of Commerce, Asian Real Estate Association of America and Wish for Wheels.
Amy Hulsey & Brian Rosen are part of a modern blended family. Partners in life and now partners in business, Amy & Brian met at their kids’ elementary school when they were co-chairing the schools spring fundraising auction. They are now raising 4 terrific kids together in their new home in Lowry, which they recently renovated. Amy says that it’s good to move every now and then to remind yourself what your clients go through in the process! (Even though they only went 2 blocks from the old house). Remodeling was a chore, but so worth it. They created a better and more usable spaces for their sizable family, their 14-year-old son is already 5’ 10”. Now the 10, 9, and 8-year old have room to spread out too!
Amy started in real estate over 15 years ago. She came to Kentwood Cherry Creek 11 years ago with her long-time business partner Martha Potter-Goldstein; the two of them had enjoyed many years of friendship, fun, and success when they decided to mix it up and invite Brian to join them! Brian has done many exciting things in his past, including an adventure into rolled ice-cream. He really enjoys marketing and business development and his sincere personality and desire to connect with people make him a terrific realtor. Amy & Brian are constantly on the go between kids’ sports, school activities, and all things real estate. So, there isn’t much downtime in their lives. They do find time to give back to the community by way of volunteering for important fundraising committees at their kid’s schools. They recognized early on that being committed to a public education for their kids can come at a disadvantage because of locally underfund schools. This commitment to raising money for the schools is how they met in the first place and that dedication continues today!
Jamie started with Kentwood City Properties in the fall of 1999. At the time, Brian was working for a local computer animation company, doing commercials and online programming training for new medical devices. While their individual careers thrived, Jamie and Brian dated for two years before getting married in the summer of 2001. The real estate market was experiencing tremendous growth and Jamie was preparing to hire an assistant to keep up. The idea of Jamie and Brian joining together rather than hire an assistant came up during a conversation with his business-minded parents. After much consideration and deliberation, the Harris Team was born. It has been nearly 17 years of working together and Brian and Jamie still feel it has been one of the best decisions they’ve made. They enjoy a successful partnership in both work and in life!
Bob and his son Sean are 3rd and 4th generation Denverites, who started at Kentwood over 11 years ago. To say real estate runs in their blood would be an understatement. Their three uncles sold real estate across the Denver metro area all the way back to the 1950’s. Bob just reached his 40th year in the business, while Sean has been selling for over 15, creating this dynamic duo back in 2003. Bob and Sean have made life/work balance a priority. Family first, while selling over 2,500 homes in their illustrious careers.
Bryan and Kris Uhl have been in the real estate business for over 20+ years. They joined Kentwood in 2000 and at the time were one of the company’s first married real estate teams. Bryan and Kris utilize their marketing and sales background to provide creative and unique ways of marketing properties as well as negotiating the best deal for their clients. The Uhl’s are dedicated to providing their clients with only best Real Estate services.
Nancy Morgan is one of the great Grand Dames of Denver Real Estate. She has held her Colorado License for 50 years and has sold many of Denver’s most exceptional and prominent homes. Her daughter, Julie Winger, having watched her Mom go through all the ups and downs of selling real estate while growing up, swore that she would NEVER go into that profession! However, she relented in 2001 and decided to give it a try. Julie discovered that she loved selling Real Estate, and taking excellent care of her clients, just as much as her Mom did. Nancy and Julie came over to Kentwood in 2011 and have been exceedingly happy members of the big Kentwood family ever since. They are both Denver natives with a broad knowledge of all the central Denver neighborhoods, and have a love of and expertise with Historic homes. They are both grateful for their wonderful clients, and the long-lasting friendships that have been the gift of their profession.
The Schlifkin Team, consisting of Sheila Schlifkin and Mitch Rothman, was formed in 2004. Together, they have more than 50 years of experience in residential real estate. They are consistently recognized as top producers in the Kentwood Company and by the Denver Metro Association of Realtors. Mitch is married to Sheila’s daughter, Aliza, which makes this an unusual pairing but one that works very well. “We enjoy working together but also family time together,” Sheila and Mitch comment.
Larry Hotz began his impressive real estate career in Denver Real Estate in 1978, joining Kentwood Moore, now Kentwood Real Estate, in 1990. Eldest daughter, Elizabeth Hotz, was quick to follow in her father’s footsteps and in 2005 they started The Hotz Group. Larry and Elizabeth made an amazing duo and have been consistently among the top-ranking teams at Kentwood for many years. In 2015, younger sister, Meredith Hotz, decided to join the family business. Now, as a family team, they sell castles to cottages throughout the Denver area. And still have Sunday night dinner together!
