Dog Friendly Patios and Bars in Denver

Dog Friendly Patios and BarsHere in Colorado we love to take our dogs everywhere with us. They are family after all! As the weather starts to heat up, what better way to spend the day with your pup than enjoying a refreshing drink and good food at a neighborhood restaurant? Who knows, you might even make some new friends. Here are some of the most dog friendly patios and bars around Denver.

The Watering Bowl

Location: 5411 Leetsdale Drive

The Watering Bowl is Denver’s first dog friendly tavern. Complete with a 7,000-square foot, fenced in dog park, it’s the perfect place for you and your best friend to hang out and be social! In addition to the dog park, they also provide water and pools for your pup to cool down in while playing with their new friends. There are also two fully stocked bars and two patios for you to find a seat at.

Denver Beer Co.

Location: 1695 Platte Street

Located just off the pedestrian bridge connecting downtown Denver to the Highlands, Denver Beer Co. is a quick pit stop when taking your pooch for a walk in the city. It’s a local brewery that caters to beer lovers and dog lovers alike. Dogs are welcome both on the patio and inside the tavern. And you can usually find a rotation of delicious food trucks posted up outside.

The Matchbox

Location: 2625 Larimer Street

With its killer back patio, The Matchbox is a great place to enjoy a cheap beer with fido and some friends. This RiNo neighborhood watering hole not only serves up great drinks, but also has Bocce Ball, a jukebox, and rotating food trucks. Your pooch is free to roam inside the bar and on the front and back patios.

Prost Brewing

Location: 2540 19th Street

At Prost Brewing there is no shortage of dog friendly patio seating! Situated in the trendy Highlands neighborhood, Prost offers German craft brews and pretzels. Due to its award-winning selection of beers, its short distance from downtown, and love of dogs – Prost is a “must see” in our book!

Forest Room 5

Location: 2532 15th Street

Forest Room 5’s eclectic, outdoorsy space will delight your senses while allowing you and your four-legged friend some much needed social time. Complete with a waterfall, fire-pits, log seating, and all-around mountain retreat vibe, this spot is a dog’s dream.

City O’ City

Location: 206 East 13th Avenue

Not only is City O’ City a hip, vegetarian restaurant with a killer view of the capital building, but it’s also one of Denver’s best kept secrets. Their beautiful patio allows dogs (on the leash) to hang with their owners. They also provide plenty of water for your furry friend.

Location: 650 Sherman Street

Racine’s has been a Denver staple watering hole since 1983. A couple years ago, they opened an umbrella-topped patio perfect for you and your pup to lounge on. The small patio is a great place for fido to make some new canine friends while you start up a conversation with other dog lovers.
