Denver Happy Hour - CocktailsHere at Kentwood we understand the simple joy that comes from sipping on a craft cocktail with a close group of friends. Or unwinding at a local bar with a few co-workers after a hard day’s work. Following are a few of our favorite Happy Hour haunts. Be sure to check some of these places out the next time you are looking to wet your whistle.

Venice Restaurant 

Where: 1700 Wynkoop or 5946 South Holly Street
When: Mon – Fri 11:00am – 7:00pm; Sat – Sun 5:00pm – 7:00pm & Everyday 9:00pm – Close
Why We Love It: “$4.50 plates and $6 drinks. Great food, easy peasy, and great people watching across from Union Station.” – Susan Henderson, Kentwood City Properties

As far as Italian food goes in Denver, it doesn’t get any better than Venice. The strongly Italian-influenced cocktail list should not be missed!  With prices on all plates for only $4.50, their Happy Hour menu can’t be beat. They also have a wonderful wine selection for only $6 a glass. This menu allows you to get a taste of the Tuscany without leaving the country.

Brio Tuscan Grille

Where: 8441 South Park Meadows Center Drive
When: Mon – Fri 3:30pm – 6:30pm & 9:00pm – Close
Why We Love It: “Brio in Park Meadows has an excellent Hors d’oeuvres menu in a very comfortable setting. There is a great atmosphere and wonderful menu selection. Get there around 4:30pm to get a booth, otherwise you’ll have to sit at the bar, not quite as comfortable.” – Doug Zundel, Kentwood DTC

Brio invites you to escape and unwind on the weekdays or head in for the late night Happy Hour. They offer a desirable selection of plates and pours that range in price from $4 – $6. Signature beverages include Italian lemonades, Italian margaritas, black raspberry cosmos, and white peach sangria. Pair one of these drinks with their black peppered shrimp, beef carpaccio, or the Brio burger.

Del Frisco’s Grill

Where: 100 Saint Paul Street Suite 140
When: Everyday 4:00pm – 6:30pm
Why We Love It: “The new hot-spot in Cherry Creek North offers the perfect spot for large and small groups alike to meet up after work. Del Frisco’s is a wonderful addition to Cherry Creek North. Cherry Creek is full of outstanding restaurants, with that being said, Del Frisco’s has done a great job in making a name for themselves. On top of an inviting and stylish ambiance, experienced and attentive waiters, their food is exceptional. You can enjoy any of their Happy Hour features for only $6.


Where: 909 17th Street at Champa
When: 7 Days a Week from 2:30pm – 6:00pm
Why We Love It: “Every day of the week, including Saturdays and Sundays too, Panzano hosts a lively Happy Hour with exciting food and drink specials from 2:30pm – 6pm in their Lounge.” – Bill Verdon, Kentwood City Properties

Panzano’s lounge provides a refreshing escape from the bustle of Denver’s business district, where you can wind down and watch the city finish its day. Enjoy all draft beer for $4, wines by the glass for $5, or any of their Specialty Cocktails for $6 during Happy Hour. In addition, enjoy generous tastings of Chef Elise’s signature dishes just $5, $6 and $7 a plate.

Rio Grande

When: Weekdays from 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Why We Love It: “You don’t really need a happy hour excuse to enjoy Rio Grande’s notorious margaritas. Whether you enjoy them the on the rocks or frozen, their selection of flavors allow you to order a different one every time. Take in consideration that they have a 3 margarita rule for a reason…they are pretty strong (which just gives you another excuse to revisit them time and time again so you can make sure you’ve tasted them all!) Hapa Sushi

Happa is a Hawaiian term that describes a blend of Asian and America cultures. At Hapa Sushi, everything is delicious and fresh. They boasts food and drink specials that will always delight! Indulge in half of appetizers, $3 hot and infused sake, $6 sake bombs and two rolls of sushi for just $7, all while enjoying the fun, modern atmosphere.

Angelo’s Taverna

Where: 620 East 6th
When: Everyday 3:00pm – 6:00pm & 9:00pm – Close

Angelo’s shucks the freshest oysters in Denver! With varieties from the East and West coast, they are sure to satisfy your cravings. Everything on their Happy Hour menu is priced at $6 and under, making these deals hard to beat. If dollar oysters aren’t your style, try the $2 meatball, sausage or caprese sliders. Couple that with a $3 well cocktails and you might find yourself spending the entire evening here.

When: Everyday 4:00pm – 6:30pm
Why We Love It: “My husband and I love Siena’s Happy Hour (Castle Rock). They offer really good $6 glasses of wine, make the best scratch-made margaritas around, and their appetizers are fabulous! Plus they have patio seating when the weather is nice.” – Katherine Gallagher, Kentwood DTC

Siena’s is a fun, casual Italian/American gathering place. Their hearty dishes are offered in a bustling trattoria with European-feel courtyard seating. The menu is always fresh and seasonal featuring brick oven pizzas, steak, pasta, and seafood.

Bar Louie

Bar Louie is an eclectic urban bar with warm surroundings, filled with nightlife photography, hand-laid tile artwork and other local architectural touches. Enjoy half off select appetizers and flatbreads, along with drafts, martinis, and wines for all under $6. Beer and wine connoisseurs will be impressed with their extensive selection of imports and microbrews!

Root Down

Where: 1600 West 33rd Ave
When: Weekdays 4:00pm – 6:30pm

The food at Root Down ignites all the senses, creating a full dining experience. They serve globally influenced cuisine and are not tied to just one style. On weekdays, hang out in the lounge for Happy Hour where the bar is an extension of the kitchen and finding the right match between food and drink is like discovering a new recipe. During Happy Hour beer is $4, cocktails are $5, and nothing on the food menu is over 5$.

Chinook Tavern

Where: 6380 South Fiddler’s Green Circle

Chinook’s eccentric yet beautiful art splashed atmosphere is ideal for friends and family to gather and focus on relaxing, sociable eating and drinking. Grab a beer by the liter for just $12 or enjoy wine by the glass for $5. Enjoy their menu which is inspired by classic European cuisine born high in the Swiss Alps. Their modern take on schnitzel, fondue and more will have you coming back again and again.


Where: 3927 West 32nd
When: Tuesday – Saturday 5:00pm – 6:30pm
Why We Love It: “Solitaire restaurant, located in the West Highlands neighborhood, is a great spot for Happy Hour.  The outdoor patio spaces offer a very comfortable and beautiful place to enjoy late afternoon drinks with friends.  The restaurant is a charming blend of character and class, combined with great food, drinks, and ambiance.” – Morey Ferguson, Kentwood DTC

This Highland New American is generating buzz for its creative and whimsically presented small plates and entrees highlighting hyper-seasonal ingredients. Solitaire’s Happy Hour offers and extensive wine scroll for just $5 a glass and a clever cocktail roster for $7 with all well drinks priced at $6. Enjoy a notable draft beer for $4 and don’t forget to dig in to the bar snacks!

Dunbar has a fun approachable menu that uses high quality ingredients. Set in a former barber shop, this watering hole & kitchen serves up Southern classics & brews. They have created an atmosphere where families feel just as comfortable bringing in their kids as friends feel meeting for drinks after work, catching a game or a night on the town!

Why We Love It: “Jax is great and just down the street from KCP.  Great Patio in the Spring to unwind with $1.50 oysters and infused Vodka drinks.  Lively crowd and great people watching.  There is also a special Happy Hour menu and daily drink specials.” – Greg Yoshida, Kentwood City Properties

The oyster bar at Jax provides an enticing welcome to the restaurant.
