Helping Listings Take Off With Kentwood’s Drone

It’s no secret that using high quality photographs can help your home stand out from the rest when trying to sell.  But what about one of a kind aerial footage?  Kentwood Real Estate recently invested in our very own drone to capture the shots of homes that might otherwise not be possible to achieve.

Imagine a buyer being able to see a video tour of the gorgeous view from your penthouse condo.  Selling a sprawling lot on several acres? Now we can show potential buyers the entire estate in one shot. Have gorgeous landscaping that just isn’t done justice from still photography? Now no one will miss it.

The accessibility our agents have to provide drone footage of listings can afford unparalleled views of not only your home, but of the surrounding neighborhood, open spaces, parks, retail centers, and other amenities potential buyers are interested in.

Affectionately named “Kenny” by our management team, the recently purchased drone is the first of what will be 2 drones that Kentwood will operate full time for our agents.  “The drone footage makes you feel like you’re actually at the property and we are very pleased to provide this company-sponsored technology to our agents,” said Peter Niederman, Chief Executive Officer of Kentwood Real Estate.

Kentwood Real Estate’s new drone is built primarily of highly durable carbon fiber with a full GPS setup featuring advanced waypoint mission control software, auto pilot, and one switch return to launch capability.  The drone houses a 1080p full HD video camera shooting at over 60 frames per second, providing smooth and professional quality footage that can be viewed and monitored in real time during the flight.  The drones, purchased from a South African company, will sustain only minor damage in the event of a crash.  Each drone can operate at speeds up to 60 mph with excellent stability.

Kentwood Real Estate will start to build a library of videos of all metro Denver neighborhoods using the drone technology. So if you see our IT guru in your neighborhood with a control panel, rest assured, its for the common good of real estate in your area.
